Polyglutamates (PGA) are well known to be highly biocompatible, biodegradable and multifunctional polymers (polyanions), which have been already applied for drug delivery systems, tissue engineering, sensing, and catalysis.
In biological setting biopersistent polymers induce problems, therefore polyglutamic acid (PGA) is considered a promising material for the design of novel nanomedicines due to its high biocompatibility, multivalency and in vivo degradability.

POLY-L-GLUTAMIC ACID (PGA) with SIDE CHAIN MODIFICATIONS

n-butyl PGA sodium salt with propargyl amide (5-20 mol% substitution) n-butyl PGA sodium salt with tert-butyl carbazate (5-20 mol% substitution)
