HYALGEL is a highly innovative product that can be used to encapsulate active ingredients and allow high penetration through the skin barrier to reach target skin layers. The technology designed by PTS combines the use of micelles and hydrogels to optimize penetration, control in release and stability of active compounds.

Encapsulation of small molecules for topical administration or active ingredients for cosmetic applications using biodegradable polymeric carriers can facilitate increased efficacy and bioavailability of these substances which can also be removed from the body via normal metabolic pathways

2- Biological Activity Evaluation

Biological activity of hydrogels and micelles loaded with active compounds can be evaluated in Keratinocyte and Fibroblast cell cultures. As an example at PTS we can measure:

Histology and Immunofluorescence

Total Antioxidant Capacity and Regenerative, anti-inflammatory and photoprotective activity (IL-10) are measured after exposure of cell culture models to UV light in the presence or absence of PTS hydrogels, nano- and micro- delivery systems.
